“I'm the happiest when I can do my job while developing at all times”
At Amesto I get to work with exactly what I like the best while having the freedom to do my job with a great degree of flexibility. We have very good routines and systems, and they are being continuously improved. The threshold is low for discussing and consulting with others in the company across country borders, business units and teams, as we have great communication opportunities and very good access to information. This lets us reach far. At the same time as we utilize the digital opportunities in the best possible way, we're also having a very pleasant time together. The team gatherings and larger joint gatherings, such as the annual kick-offs are something that I always look forward to!

I'm the happiest when I can do my job while developing at all times, learning something new and seeing the added value of my work at multiple levels. This is what is rewarding and exciting. When we have the opportunity to use our own competence and experience at the same time as focusing on renewing and developing ourselves in relation to what is the best for the future, it all makes sense. It's like taking the good, valuable heritage with you and at the same time seasoning it with something new, exciting and valuable. This gives the best possible overall experience. Like being in a room with an interior design that gives a good vibe because of an ideal combination of things. Not just old, not just new, but what gives the most optimal experience because you have kept the best from the past, and are also continuously renewing yourself.
Amesto's vision and purposeful work with the three Ps - People, Planet and Profit - give meaning and pride.
At Amesto, we actively work for increased diversity across several dimensions.
Among other things, we have our own resource groups with diversity ambassadors, we measure diversity as one of our most important company KPIs, and last but not least, we're proud to be a gold partner of ODA, the Nordic region's largest Women in Tech organization. Through the ODA partnership, we have hosted several network events, and helped increase the expertise in entrepreneurship, triple bottom line and growth mindset - areas that we at Amesto are very passionate about.
In addition, we're happy that we have been able to attract new talents through ODA, and that multiple people on the ODA board and other active ODA volunteers work with us. We offer flexibility, beneficial schemes and exciting competence development, and we would like to actively contribute to increasing the diversity in tech and motivate more women to build careers in the technology industry.

50% women is not diversity.
Honestly. Do you also think that you have done enough when half of the management team are women? Gender balance is important, but it is not enough. Diversity is about seeing the whole person and cultivating differences in an environment with equal conditions. Only then will you get the value of diversity in your company. But where do you start? Unconscious and biased attitudes tend to control the work with diversity, says Heidi Nygjelten, Chief People & Culture Officer at the technology company Amesto TechHouse. She works actively with diversity in recruitment processes and leads a major diversity project at Amesto.
- There's an enormous wealth of ideas in diversity. Diversity is about accepting, understanding and appreciating the people around you. It's about different perspectives and opinions, and it's about the value and power that lies in our differences. I have no doubt that the will to ensure diversity is there, but our subconscious minds tend to draw us towards those who are the most similar to ourselves, whether it comes to gender, age or personality.
Loveleen Brenna, founder of Seema - Center for Diversity Management, largely agrees. However, she believes that the diversity debate today has a slightly too problem-oriented focus. Ethnicity, gender, orientation and age are only a few aspects of what it means to be a human. Diversity cannot be defined solely from mathematical principles, Loveleen adds.
Diversity enriches work life and contributes directly to profitability and value creation, says Ariane Spandow, Head of Corporate Social Value at Amesto.
- Learning from each other and being open to new impulses and opinions increase the dynamics of competition and action. By creating equal opportunities for everybody in their work life, we make a stronger foundation for innovation and value creation, says Ariane.

The power of the individual.
